We are thrilled to share some fantastic updates about the exciting remodeling projects at Grass Lake School, all aimed at creating an inclusive learning environment that is accessible to all students. This summer, Grass Lake School was under construction as doors were replaced throughout parts of the building to allow for equal access to all parts of our building. Our commitment to adhering to ADA requirements ensures that every student can thrive and fully participate in their educational journey.
Another exciting addition to Grass Lake School comes from our Beautification Committee, led by Dr. William Newby. The committee’s goal was to highlight Grass Lake’s rich history while also showcasing what makes our school special. Through their excellent planning, we are now seeing the results of their hard work, which will be fully realized this fall. A key feature of this was the installation of an interactive smartboard and new display whiteboards as you enter the school. These enhancements create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for both visitors and school attendees. The interactive smartboard serves as a central hub of information and creativity, showcasing the rich history of Grass Lake School, sharing the latest news, introducing our wonderful staff, and even featuring an interactive trivia game to make learning fun and interactive.
The new display whiteboards and smartboard are perfect for showcasing student work and allowing students to express themselves by writing messages. This not only fosters a sense of pride and ownership in their accomplishments but also encourages collaboration and communication among students.
We are excited about these improvements and believe they will significantly enhance the learning experience at Grass Lake School. Our goal is to create a vibrant, inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
