Boys Cross Country
Boys Cross Country performed well this fall. The culture of the Sequoits Cross Country program continues to set the bar very high for other programs to match. The boys were competitive throughout the year with the following individuals earning All-NLCC Honors: Carson Lanners, Griffin Freeman, AJ Ripper and Brady Kobb. These young men led the team to an IHSA sectional berth and completed their season at Kaneland.

Senior Rosie Gonzalez

Girls Cross Country
Girls Cross Country enjoyed a season full of personal bests culminating in an individual school record and All-State performance by Senior Rosie Gonzalez. Rosie was the IHSA Regional Champion, advancing with her team to Sectionals, and qualifying individually to compete in Peoria at the IHSA Class 2A State Finals. There she broke the IHSA school record with a 3-Mile race time of 17 minutes and 29 seconds taking 15th out of 420 runners. The girls team were NLCC runners up and these athletes performed at an All-Conference level: Piper Ipsen, Angela Ortiz, Annalise Lowrance, and NLCC Champion Rosie Gonzalez.

Football
Sequoits Football continued their legacy of autumn success. The team brought home another NLCC Conference Championship Title for the 2024 season. The final record of 8-3 illustrates Antioch’s strong position in Lake County football competition. Senior Martin Cohen set new school records for touchdowns scored and career rushing yards and was honored as Northern Lake County Conference Offensive Player of the Year. These deserving young men competed well enough to earn All-NLCC recognition: Martin Cohen, Colin Arquilla, Roderick Rathmann, Makay Mountcastle, Nathan Gorski, Brooks Welsch, Owen Shea, Jack Bucar, Doug Swanson and Mason Bussone

Girls Flag Football
The historic inaugural season of Girls Flag Football was a smashing success! The Sequoits led by new Head Coach Tammy Johnson experienced 17 wins and 6 losses throughout the 2024 campaign. The pinnacle moment of the season occurred at McCracken Field in McHenry when the Sequoits earned the title of Regional Champions! Standout performances led to All-Northern Lake County Conference honors being awarded to Tanner Ludwig, Adesawa Adegboyega, Reese Queensland, Alexis Watson, and star ball-carrier and lock down defensive back Abby Fuesting.

Boys Golf
Boys Golf felt a resurgence this fall. The Sequoits competed well on the links with four golfers claiming All-Conference medals. Michael Titus, Colby Costello, Cole Hoerle and Rylan Frazer scored enough pars and birdies to be among the best in the NLCC. Rylan Frazer, Ben Clausen and Michael Titus qualified for the IHSA Sectional Tournament at Hughes Creek advancing out of the Regional field.

Girls Golf
Nora Cecchi had a remarkable season leading the Girls Golf team. She was a sectional qualifier as an individual. The teams conference record in dual matches was 2-8 on the year.

Field Hockey
Field Hockey showed resilience and fantastic effort navigating the 2024 schedule. The Sequoits were promoted to the toughest division in Illinois and finished 8-11 with several exciting games including two overtime games. The girls continue to carve out respect and recognition for Antioch Community High School in a grueling north shore dominant landscape.

Boys Soccer
The Sequoits put forth quality effort on the pitch in Boys Soccer this fall. Senior Cade Ternes finished his high school career with All-NLCC honors. The boys battled all year but the scoreboard favored their opponents more often than not. Ultimately, their season came to a close in the Regional Quarterfinals.

Girls Tennis
Girls Tennis finished the season with a dual record of 4-6. This group consistently put forth great effort in match and tournament play. Doubles Team of Aubrey Dickey and Erin Pasdiora emerged from a very difficult IHSA Sectional to qualify for the state tournament at Palatine High School.

Girls Volleyball
Girls Volleyball experienced an infusion of energy under the leadership of new Head Coach James Lallaman. The Sequoits 16-14 record included several hard fought wins and near victories with very tight point differentials. All-NLCC standouts on the floor for Antioch were Emma Crow, Ryen Lyndon, and Kaylianna Losinger.
