Lakes Community High School had a blast celebrating our first-ever Inclusion Week March 10-14! The week featured spirit days, trivia about disabilities and inclusion, a visit from therapy therapy dogs to highlight mental health awareness, and Mrs. Wheelchair Illinois, Libby Deichsel, spent time with our Learning Opportunities classes sharing her story.
We capped off the week with our very first Big Game on March 14, where the Lakes Eagle Pals took on the Sequoit Sidekicks. The energy was amazing, and it was a perfect way to celebrate a week all about community, support, and having fun together. We are so proud of how hard our Eagle Pals played and how our Lakes students supported them! Mrs. Wheelchair Illinois Libby Deichsel and Miss Lindenhurst, Emma Quane, were our special guests for the event. We are very excited to keep this tradition going!
