On Saturday, October 26, Lakes Clubs and Activities brought the community together for their second Halloween-themed Car Show, Touch-a-Truck, and Trunk-or-Treat event. This festive gathering showcased an impressive array of vehicles from Chitown Exotics, Metal Militia, Lake County Jeep Club, and Illinois Camaro Club, delighting car enthusiasts and families alike.

Lakes Clubs ran a variety of family-friendly stations at the event. Pawz 4 Change hosted their annual Howl-A-Ween Ball, which included a pet costume contest and a furry friends selfie station. Attendees also enjoyed henna tattoos from the South Asian Student Association and face painting provided by Friends of the Arts. Other kid-friendly activities included National Honor Society’s pumpkin painting, coloring stations, and temporary tattoos. Lakes Students for Science offered a unique Punkin’ Chunkin’ experience, where participants launched pumpkins using a trebuchet, adding an extra thrill to the day. The event was free to the public, with donations from participating show cars benefiting the clubs that hosted the various activities. Local favorites Crazee Ice, 3 Legged Brewing, and Supermercado San Judas brought their food trucks to keep everyone fueled for fun. A huge thank you to all the clubs, vendors, and volunteers who made this event a fantastic celebration of community spirit and Halloween cheer!
