Eagles Reach New Heights

40

As we say “Goodbye” to fall, I am thrilled to share the incredible community spirit that has defined this season at Lakes. Our talented students, past and present, have set the tone for an amazing school year.

The Marching Band delivered exceptional performances at competitions, our theater department moved audiences with the fall play, “The Yellow Boat,” and our band, choir, and orchestra wowed us with outstanding fall concerts.

In athletics, our Eagles reached new heights. Both the Boys Golf and Girls Golf teams won Conference Championships this season. Our Girls Flag Football team made history, winning the first-ever NLCC Championship in its inaugural season, setting an exciting foundation for this new sport at Lakes. Several of our athletes and teams are advancing beyond the regular season, and the Boys Cross Country team, in addition to winning the Conference title, is headed to State for the fourth consecutive year. Go Eagles!

This year’s Homecoming was extra special, as we celebrated Lakes’ 20th Anniversary. Thanks to the efforts of seniors Heidi Jung and Lia Neveu, our student body enjoyed an alumni panel, featuring nine former students sharing their post high school journeys. “A Life After Lakes” iMovie and an Alumni Tailgate added to the excitement. The evening was capped off with alumni and their families joining us on the field, our Homecoming Court recognition, and a Lakes victory!

Looking ahead, the winter season promises to keep the momentum going with our competitive clubs and winter athletic teams preparing for their seasons. I am also eagerly awaiting the upcoming LCHS musical, “Mamma Mia”.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Eagles. We can’t do what we do without YOU!

With Gratitude and Eagle Pride!
