Nick Pearce and Miles Ripley were both selected as members of the Illinois High School Theatre Festival All State Production of The Prom. Across the entire state, students apply for this prestigious recognition and out of the myriad students, these two individuals demonstrated a remarkable skill and competency in technical theatre. Nick was selected as the Stage Manager for the entire production and was responsible for the execution of every aspect of the show from each light cue to each sound cue to even actors entering and dancing with tambourines. Despite Miles being sick for the final show, he still made an impression on the staff and created things the entire district should be proud of. These two students demonstrated a standard of excellence of which we could not be more proud. So much so, that the technical director for next year’s All State sought out Miles’ and Nick’s theatre teachers just to sing their praises and encourage more Eagle Theatre members to live up to their legacy.
