LCHS: Leadership
Over the past couple of years Lakes Women in Leadership (LWL) club along with Lakes Girls Track & Field have been working to find ways to celebrate and empower young females in our community. Track & Field ran their 2nd annual EmpowerHER meet and completed t-shirt sales to raise funds for future events. This year, as a part of a joint effort from staff members Christine Zucker, Randie-Lynn Reynolds, Meghan Guther, and Irina Stan, LWL hosted the 1st annual Rise & Thrive Women’s Career Panel. Female business owners, lawyers, educators, administrators, and authors volunteered their time to speak to Lakes students about what it’s like being a woman in their career field. Students and community members enjoyed an afternoon of listening and learning. Thank you to those who volunteered their time to share their experience and expertise; it was a valuable event that was eye-opening for attendees!
