The Antioch Upper Grade School Science Olympiad team put their STEM skills to the test at the regional competition, showcasing their knowledge and problem-solving abilities across a variety of scientific disciplines. Competing in events ranging from engineering challenges and cryptography to ecology and astronomy, the team demonstrated months of preparation and dedication.
Among the standout performances, Anastasia Mollison and Parker Sloan secured an impressive 4th place in the astronomy event, Reach for the Stars. Larson Fielder made a strong showing in Codebusters, ranking as the 3rd fastest competitor to crack the first of many complex ciphers.
The team also featured Tommy Amrein, Jonathan Becker, Lucas Cole, Wyatt Johnson, Amelia Lasko, Juliet Marion, Kaden Render, and Declan Sweeny, each of whom displayed exceptional effort, perseverance, and scientific expertise.
Their commitment to STEM learning and teamwork was evident throughout the competition, and their achievements reflect the hard work and passion they have poured into their preparation.
