Antioch Upper Grade School (AUGS) 8th grader Emma Egger recently had the incredible opportunity to perform with the Northshore Concert Band as part of the Lifetime of Music concert. Held at Pick-Staiger Concert Hallon the campus of Northwestern University, this prestigious event celebrates the dedication of young musicians and highlights the lifelong joy of making music.
The Lifetime of Music concert is a unique program that connects young musicians with experienced performers, granting them access to extraordinary performance opportunities beyond the classroom. Students who participate are introduced to outstanding wind-band repertoire and gain exposure to the various ways they can continue their musical journey beyond middle school, regardless of whether they choose to pursue music professionally.
The Northshore Concert Band, a highly respected ensemble with a rich history of musical excellence, provides a platform for students like Emma to showcase their talents in a professional setting. Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, located on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus, is well known for its outstanding acoustics and has hosted countless performances by renowned musicians.
