We are thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement at Antioch CCSD 34’s Mary Kay McNeill Early Learning Center (ELC)! Our dedicated parent educators, Marnie Pedersen and Lisa Hanes, have earned the prestigious Blue Ribbon Status from Parents as Teachers. This recognition is awarded to programs that demonstrate the highest standards of family engagement and support. It’s a testament to the unwavering dedication of our educators in fostering family wellness, learning, and confidence within our community.
In October, Marnie and Lisa, along with ELC Principal Jodi Lax, attended the annual Parent As Teachers National Conference, where they joined educators and advocates from across the country. This event provided valuable opportunities to share best practices, explore innovations, and deepen understanding of early childhood development. Through networking, workshops, and sessions, participants focused on one shared mission: helping parents excel as their child’s first and most important teachers.
Achieving Blue Ribbon Status signifies a rigorous commitment to quality standards and impactful outreach. This honor directly benefits the families we serve by empowering our educators with enhanced resources, insights, and strategies. With these tools, Marnie and Lisa will support parents and young learners at an even higher level, ensuring that every child at Mary Kay McNeill ELC is on a strong path to success from the very start.
We are proud to celebrate this milestone and are excited about the ongoing positive impact it will have on our families.
