The strategic planning initiative commenced last year with leadership from the Emmons Board of Education. Initially, the Board of Education modernized the district’s vision and belief statements. The Board prioritized district values and formulated a new vision, integrating elements from the district’s six thematic houses. The resultant vision and belief statements established the trajectory for the strategic planning endeavor.
Following the board’s engagement, diverse strategic planning teams were assembled, comprising parents, educators, staff, administrators, and board members. Their activities began with a review of the vision and belief statements and the creation of ideal student outcomes. The teams then engaged with various data resources to identify areas of strength and areas for growth. Upon thorough examination, the groups deliberated to prioritize three focus areas for inclusion in the forthcoming strategic plan:
Priority One: Academic Learning
Priority Two: Educational Exploration
Priority Three: Learning Environment
