I am deeply honored to continue serving as your Antioch Township Supervisor. Running for office is never easy, and I’m sincerely grateful for the trust and confidence you’ve placed in me. I also want to warmly welcome our newest Trustees, Mark Haufe and Aron Petty, and thank returning Trustees Kris Shepard and Bruce Goeckner for their continued dedication. Together, we’re looking ahead to an exciting term filled with opportunities to serve and strengthen our community.
On March 23rd, we celebrated a major milestone with the Grand Opening of Vern Thelen Park on Rena Avenue! This vibrant new space features pickleball courts, basketball, volleyball, and a playground—offering something for everyone. With lighting for evening recreation, the park is already becoming a gathering place for residents of all ages. It’s been incredible to see neighbors coming together to enjoy this new community asset.
We’re also excited to announce the launch of our new website: antiochtownshipil.gov Created with residents in mind, the site offers a more accessible and user-friendly experience. From meeting schedules and township services to news, resources, and volunteer opportunities, it’s a one-stop hub for staying connected and informed. We’re especially proud of how this platform strengthens communication between residents and township leadership, promoting transparency and responsiveness. I encourage you to explore the site and make it part of your regular connection to township happenings.
