Our preserves are beautiful…exercise and spend quality time outdoors with friends while walking in a peaceful and natural setting. Please check the Walking Club flyer for forest preserve location.

Gianni’s Café & Opera in Focus
Start the day with a family style luncheon at Gianni’s Café in Palatine. We will enjoy sausage and peppers, salad, penne vodka pasta, chicken parmigiana, Giannis broccoli and cannoli for dessert. Following lunch, experience a unique show at Opera in Focus…see a puppet and opera stage production of Fiddler on the Roof. A demonstration of the operation of the puppets and a tour of the highly technical backstage will follow the performance.

Featuring 27 of Patsy Cline’s biggest hits, this is the ultimate love letter to one of the most celebrated and influential performers of the 20th century. Lunch prior to the show will include a salad, your choice of Roasted Salmon or Three 2-oz Petite Filets, and Cheesecake for dessert.

Port of Blarney Lunch
Boat Tour & Blarney Island
Enjoy lunch at the Port of Blarney followed by a private tour of the Chain o’ Lakes. Don’t worry…the boat has a cover to block the direct sun. We will also make a stop on the island. Feel free to stick around until 6 PM to watch the boat races or you can take the shuttle back to the Port anytime that you’re ready. You won’t want to miss this fun day of the “Key West of the Midwest.”

Nostalgic Humorist Todd Hunt will lead us down memory lane with stories of simpler times. Remember when there was just one flavor of Cheerios (no Honey Nut, Apple Cinnamon or Chocolate Peanut Butter)? Humans answered the phone (no voice mail maze)? Crazy fads like pet rocks and mood rings? Enjoy photos and remembrances of TV shows and favorite childhood candy (whatever happened to Walnettos?) and vintage cringe-worthy ads (Clorox Toothpaste and candy cigarettes “Just like Dad!”).
Root Beer Floats will be served.

Magic Meadows Alpacas & Crandall’s Restaurant
Travel to Wonder Lake for a private visit at this unique alpaca farm. You will have the opportunity to learn about alpacas and enter the enclosure to feed the girls, while gazing into their large, soft eyes. Following our visit, enjoy Crandall’s Famous 2-piece Broasted Chicken Lunch in Hebron. We will travel via Township Bus so seats are limited unless you would like to drive and meet us at both locations!
