We have completed 3 sports seasons at GLS. The sports are Volleyball, Soccer, and Cross country.
Let’s start with Volleyball; Volleyball is an all girls sport, and it has 23 girls this year. There are three teams: blue, gold, and eighth grade. Gold has only lost about two games and the eighth grade team is back on their way to the top. We have had an awesome year this year. Blue has won most of their games. Sadly though, the Blue team’s season has come to an end, but the gold team and eighth grade teams just finished up their season. For the eighth grade team, we sadly lost the first game of the tournament. But on the other hand, the gold team won third place. So congratulate them.
Next we can talk about Cross Country. There were 4 kids in Cross Country. And they were extremely devoted. Cross Country is when people run long distances over the natural ground, they are running anywhere from 1 to 3 miles. They did great. Keep going Cross Country. They made it to sectionals. YAY.
Lastly, we have soccer. Soccer had a great season. They had so many kids join I can’t even count. They started off great but then towards the end of the season they sadly lost it. Now soccer season is over, because they lost the tournament. It doesn’t matter because they still did their best and got really far.
