As I write my second Connections article and the summer winds down, it was great to meet so many of you at Thursday Night Concerts, the Taste of Summer and the Annual Fourth of July Parade and fireworks. This Fall, we will look forward to our Homecoming parade, a downtown scavenger hunt for people of all ages, the opening of new restaurants, preparing for the Holiday festivities in December, as well as several events put on by charitable groups, such as the Antioch Rotary Club dinner and auction the first Saturday in October.
The Village of Antioch has been working regularly with the All Together Group (our marketing group) and the Lakota Group (our design, planning and consultant group) for the future of our marketing, website, communications and general downtown beautification plan.
Of course, a centerpiece of this plan includes the redevelopment of the downtown property located at the southeast corner of Main and Depot Streets. In September, the Lakota group will be displaying several different concepts for village residents to review and comment. Look for them to be out at the Fall Wine Walk with these displays.
