Summer of Music at the Bandshell

212

The “It’s Thursday” summer concert series concluded on August 10th, providing a summer of great music and fun memories. The final concert of the season was a special one. The Antioch local business community came together to raise funds for a 10-year-old local boy who was injured in a carnival ride over the summer. Watching residents and local business work together for a great cause was heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who participated!

This year’s concert series featured bigger named performers, which brought record attendance to the William Brook Entertainment Center. The summer of music would not have been possible without the support of the local business community. New this year, the Village of Antioch offered several sponsorship levels in exchange for visibility at the summer concerts.

Thank you to this year’s sponsors!

The summer concert series kicked off with a collaboration between the Village of Antioch and US 99 Radio. Together, with the help of sponsors, the village was able to bring county music star Rodney Atkins to downtown Antioch. The rest of the summer feature an eclectic mix of country, rock, and reggae music. Overall, the village had more people than ever attend the It’s Thursday concert series.

The “It’s Thursday” summer concert series is more than just a collection of musical performances – it encapsulates the heart and soul of Antioch’s summer culture. It brings people together to relish in the pleasures of summer, embrace the power of music, and celebrate the tight-knit community spirit that makes Antioch a cherished place to call home during the summer months.

Just wait until next year – Village staff is already working to make the concert series bigger and better!
