I am thrilled to kick off another fantastic summer season in our beloved community! I believe there’s no better time to relish in the beauty of the Chain O’ Lakes region than during the summer months in the Village of Antioch.
This summer, downtown Antioch will be bustling with exciting events and activities for all to enjoy. We’ve already had a fantastic start to the Food Truck FEASTival in May, and we have even more planned for June, July, and August. Our Wine Walk events have been growing in popularity, with the last several selling out. To accommodate more participants, we’ve increased our capacity for the upcoming Summer Wine Walk on Saturday, June 3rd.
Our Thursday night concerts at the William E. Brook Entertainment Complex were a huge success in 2022, with some of the largest attendance numbers we’ve ever seen. Our kick-off concert last summer with 95 WIIL Rock and Royal Bliss was amazing! I anticipate this year’s concerts to be even more popular, thanks to our hardworking event staff who have brought in top-quality entertainment, including our 2023 summer kickoff concert with US99 radio and country music star Rodney Atkins!
In July, one of our most popular events of the year is our Fourth of July party at Williams Park. This year’s event promises to be unforgettable, with food trucks, fireworks, and live music from the bands Winnie Cooper and Mellencougar.
I am eager to see you all around town this summer as we come together to create lasting memories and celebrate our wonderful community.
