CHSD117: Musicals
Each spring students, staff, and community members alike, look forward to enjoying the many talents of the fine arts departments. Each year Antioch and Lakes Community High Schools prepare tirelessly, for many months, to put on Broadway level productions and performances. Musical Directors, Wanda Teddy (ACHS) and Daniel Esquivel (LCHS) lead an impressive team of students, volunteers, and professionals committed to producing exceptional performances. The spring of 2023 was no exception to this standard. Lakes and their production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in early March, and the Antioch production of Descendants The Musical, played to sold out auditoriums for all performances. The cast and crew of these productions did not disappoint, pouring passion and excitement into every aspect of the production. The theater programs are already planning for next spring as they look to continually improve their craft and celebration of our students’ talents.
