LCHS: Athletics
Girls Wrestling
The girls wrestling team made history on February 24th, as they became both the first IHSA girls wrestling state championship team, as well as the first IHSA team state champion in LCHS history! The entire community continues to be proud of this amazing accomplishment!
Boys Basketball
The Lakes boys basketball team finished up their season as conference champions for the 2nd straight year!
Cheer Team
The competitive cheer team placed 7th in the state in 2A!
Baseball
The Lakes baseball program is coming off of a spring break trip to Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. The team had a very strong regular season, finishing with an 18-12 record, and they begin regional play vs. Carmel on 5/22.
Softball
The softball team is peaking at the right time and they are playing some of their best softball of the year at press time, and have a season record of 16-13. The Eagles will begin their journey toward the state championship at the Ridgewood regional on 5/21.
Lacrosse
The lacrosse team had another solid regular season. They defeated McHenry in the first round of sectionals, but were defeated in round two.
Boys Volleyball
Boys volleyball finished the regular season with a record of 20-15. They were defeated in regionals on 5/20 by Buffalo Grove.
Boys Tennis
The Lakes boys tennis team is playing well. The JV team finished the NLCC season undefeated, and the program just completed hosting sectionals last weekend.
Girls Soccer
The girls soccer team are conference champions for the 2nd year in a row! Led by a strong group of upperclassmen, the team had a great season, but were defeated in the Lake Forest regional last week.
Boys Track & Field
The boys track and field team placed 2nd in conference, as well as sectionals! They qualified 6 events for the state meet!
Girls Track & Field
The girls track and field team has been competing well, both during the indoor and outdoor seasons. The girls placed 2nd in conference, and had 4 state qualifiers!
