ACHS science teacher Stacy Krabbe has been named the 2020 Outstanding Early Career Educator by the Illinois State Board of Education She was recognized at the 2019-20 Those Who Excel Banquet in Normal, Illinois on October 19. According to Science department chair Greg Bays, Krabbe is the type of educator who, “works harder than any teacher I have ever seen. She understands the needs of her students and differentiates their instruction to best fit the needs of all students in the classroom.” He describes her as a teacher whose students “are able to reach a deep level of content mastery.” Finally, Krabbe “is truly one of the nicest and most caring teachers I have encountered. She displays a warmth toward students that not only welcomes them but allows them to feel truly comfortable in the classroom. As a result, students are able to take risks and attempt things outside of their normal comfort zone,” says Bays. Congratulations, Ms. Krabbe—we are all incredibly proud of this acknowledgment of your talent and hard work!
