At the February 2021 board meeting, Matt Rife was officially hired as the new athletic director at Lakes Community High School. Rife, who has taught social studies and coached track at Lakes for a total of ten years, previously served as the district athletic and activities director for Harvard Community Unit School District #50 from 2013-2018. As a community member, he and his family are excited to watch the district grow and evolve in the realm of extracurricular activities.
