Art Teacher, and Cardinal Crazies sponsor, Stefan Pfautz, has been surprising students and staff, in-school and remotely. Mr. Pfautz presents the weekly recipient with a t-shirt, and as he says, “Thanking them for being Awesome.” We would like to thank Mr. Pfautz for the videos, smiles, and energy that this brings to so many.
Commended Students Honored
ACHS would like to congratulate Katelyn Amodeo, Zachary Leitza, and Alison Weiser, who were recognized as Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. These students were among 1.5 million students who took the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test last October. They are recognized for their exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their performance on the test.
ISBE Awards Sequoits Honors
The Illinois State Board of Education annually sponsors the ‘Those Who Excel’ awards to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to our state’s public and nonpublic, elementary and secondary schools. Although there was not a banquet to honor these individuals this year, we are very proud to announce the following recipients.
