Investing in Future Education

As we dive deeper into the spring semester and warmer temperatures, it brings us immense joy to highlight the outstanding achievements of our students and extend a warm invitation to an event that not only embodies our school spirit but also supports educational endeavors for our students and staff.

First and foremost, congratulations are in order to our talented students who have been making waves in post-season tournaments! As of this writing, our cheer (4th in state) and dance team (13th in the state) have showcased incredible dedication, skill and sportsmanship by representing ACHS in the IHSA State Competitions. Our ACHS Chess team competes amongst the best this weekend. All of our athletes and club members’ hard work and passion have not gone unnoticed, and we applaud them for their outstanding performances! Sequoits are also members of the ILMEA All-State Choir and NLCC Honor Band. Be sure to check out details on the pages that highlight Sequoit sports and fine arts.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that 30 of our exceptional students have earned the prestigious title of Illinois State Scholar. This accomplishment is a testament to their academic excellence and places them among our state’s top 10% of students. We are immensely proud of their dedication to their studies and commend them for their remarkable achievements. There is a highlight article in this issue with more detail.

Furthermore, we invite the entire community to join us for a night of fun, camaraderie, and philanthropy at our Booster Club, Sequoit Pride’s annual fundraiser, “The Main Event.” This event, held on March 2nd, 2024, at the Lehmann Mansion, promises to be an evening to remember. You will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow community members, support our students, and contribute to raising thousands of dollars that directly benefit educational initiatives at Antioch Community High School. So mark your calendars for March 2nd at 6:00 pm, and join us as we come together to celebrate our students’ achievements and invest in the future of education at ACHS.

Once a Sequoit, always a Sequoit,
