Fine Arts: ACHS
The ACHS Fine Arts Program had a very busy Winter season. The music program combined for two huge events in December starting with our first annual Holiday Pancake Breakfast. The Antioch Performing Arts Boosters hosted the event which featured over 30 performances from ACHS students and special performances from Antioch Upper Grade students and staff. The event raised over $7000 for the Fine Arts Programs at ACHS. The very next week the music department combined for their annual Winter Concerts. The Band, Choir, and Orchestra programs combined to put on an amazing show for two packed houses! In addition, ACHS had two students selected for the All-State Honors Choir: Marshall Gehrke and Reddy Heilig. This is an enormous accomplishment and represents the first time ACHS has had two members in this choir in the same year. ACHS Fine Arts has a busy 2nd semester preparing the D117 Art Show, the D117 Music Festival, the Spring Musical, and Spring Concerts.
