Antioch Upper Grade School had the honor of hosting Joe George, a distinguished figure in the music industry, on Friday, December 8th. Joe George, renowned for his work as a songwriter, Emmy-nominated film composer, and engaging video host of the music YouTube channel REVERB, brought his expertise and passion for music directly to students. With a following of over two million views on YouTube, George’s influence in the realm of music education and entertainment is undeniable, making this visit a highly anticipated event for our school community.

During his visit, Joe George conducted an interactive guitar workshop for the American Music History, Music Technology, and Acoustics classes, where he not only performed, but also shared his vast knowledge of music composition and technology. The highlight of the session was his demonstration of various guitar effect pedals, showcasing the incredible range of sounds and atmospheres that can be achieved with the right equipment. This hands-on demonstration allowed students to see firsthand the intersection of technology and creativity in music production.
