About a year ago, the class of 2021 took the PSAT/National Merit Qualifying Test. The primary function of this assessment is to serve as a practice SAT. At the same time, it serves as the initial screener to enter students into the prestigious National Merit Scholarship competition. Over 1.5 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools took this exam nationwide last October.

LCHS is proud to recognize four seniors that are among the top academic performers in the nation on the NMSQT.

Amber Campbell and Daniel Gfesser were identified as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for each scoring in the top 50,000 highest scores in the nation!

Daniel Gfesser

Lucas Holler and Benjamin Schneiderheinze have been announced as Semifinalists and will be advancing in the scholarship program for scoring in the top 16,000 scores which is less than one percent of US high school seniors!

We celebrate with Amber, Benjamin, Daniel, and Lucas for earning these honors. Congratulations, and all the best in the future!
