Lake Villa 41 has a new therapy dog in training. Hairy Harry is a 13-week-old Great Pyrenees Mountain dog, just like his big sister, Jeep. Seven-year-old Jeep is getting ready to retire. Hopefully, she can show Harry how to be an outstanding therapy dog before then. Harry has a lot to learn!
Pyrenees Mountain dogs are exceptional with children. They have a calm and loving disposition. Pyrs like to protect animals smaller than them, which is why they are often found on working farms and ranches guarding livestock. Jeep and Harry think their job is to protect students. Students enjoy the attention and affection these dogs deliver.
