Fifth-grade students at Hooper Elementary had the opportunity to build and operate a Hovercraft thanks to a donation from The Butterfly Effect of Maddox J. LoPriore Foundation. While the students enjoyed building the Hovercrafts and riding them, the lessons learned in this experience were more important. Students learned life lessons of never giving up, trusting the team process, and if something fails, keep trying.
At the end of the day, all 16 teams were able to build their Hovercraft without adult assistance and were able to make them glide across the gym floor. This amazing project is already rebooked for next year.
