Thompson Elementary School opened its doors to over 230 students and one big fluffy therapy dog named Jeep for summer school. Beyond the basic academic benefits, summer school also boosts students’ confidence as they begin to hone their social abilities by communicating with their teachers and other student’s in a more personal environment. Summer school classes are intentionally smaller in size to allow for a more personalized learning experience for students.
