Antioch Township Awarded the OSLAD Grant

As we approach Summer, Antioch Township is proud to announce we are the recipient of The Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant that will help to improve our parks and amenities. The Township was awarded approximately $600,000! Thank you to Trustee, Steve Turner, for your efforts and diligence in getting The OSLAD grant secured. 

This award has allowed us to move forward with plans for  the development of Thelen Park. This 30-acre property has belonged to the Township for 20 years.

Our team has worked with Pamela Self Landscaping & Park Design & EVA Engineering to create a recreational outdoor area for all to enjoy. Amenities include ample parking, basketball courts, birdwatching area, disc golf course, naturalized plantings, obstacle course, overlook to rookery, pavilion overlooking water. pickleball courts, play area, slope/sledding hill, sports shelter, volleyball court & walking / hiking trail. This will be a wonderful addition to our community!
