As we start the holiday season in Antioch, I’m reminded of the joy this time of year brings, especially the time I can spend with my family. I hope you can share in the holiday spirit with some of the festive events going on in town this season. Whether it’s watching the Christmas Parade, or just strolling down Main Street visiting our local businesses, I’m reminded of just how special of a place Antioch is.
Antioch truly shines during the holiday season, embodying a small-town American charm. I invite you to join us for the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on the evening of November 24th. Additionally, join me in celebrating Small Business Saturday on November 25th, supporting our outstanding local shops and restaurants. In December, our Parks Department is organizing Santa Visits and Santa at the Sawmill events, plus the continuation of the Festival of Trees at the Buttrick Sawmill from December 3rd through the 17th!
The Village of Antioch has partnered with the Antioch Chamber of Commerce to provide an incentive to shop local! Village of Antioch e-gift cards are available online and welcome at nearly 30 locations around the village. As a bonus, the village is offering bonus dollars with purchases. This edition of Connections includes essential winter reminders from our Public Works Department. Throughout winter, our dedicated Public Works employees work tirelessly on snow removal and roadway treatment to ensure safe travel. In the face of storms, our crews brave long hours in challenging temperatures. A heartfelt thank you to Public Works for their unwavering commitment!
