Emmons School hosted a robust Veterans Day celebration that left a lasting impression on all who attended. The day began with a heartfelt breakfast for all veterans in attendance, a small token of gratitude for their selfless service to our nation. While at breakfast, veterans visited with second graders who delivered thank you cards. Following the meal, the school’s gymnasium was filled as the entire student body, teachers, parents, community members and veterans gathered for a special assembly. The Emmons School students sang heartfelt patriotic tunes, accompanied by the resounding melodies of the school band. Each veteran present was acknowledged and honored for their service. The assembly featured Emmons parent, Pamela Anderson, who served in the Navy from 1998-2022. Through the experience, students were inspired and developed a reverence for the armed services.
