Scholastic Bowl Team Takes 3rd
Antioch Community High School’s Scholastic Bowl team was very competitive through the conference season and took 3rd place at the NLCC Conference Meet. Members of this team include Madison Eul, Braxton Schieler, Jack Schwisow, Benjamin Steuer and Amanda Whitely.
Chess Team Wins Conference
The Chess Team took home the NLCC Conference Trophy for the 4th straight year.
Math Team Soars
At the NLCC Math Team Conference Tournament, all members of the team placed in at least one event. In Algebra 1, Noah Bohn took 1st and the team was 1st overall. In Geometry, Jack Schwisow took 1st place. In PreCalc Antioch placed 3rd overall. In Freshman/Sophomore 8 Person, Antioch placed 1st. In the Junior/Senior 2 Person, Jacob Slabosz and Alex Ware finished 1st.
Speech Team Prepares for Regional
The Speech Team is young and continues to learn while attending the Grant Speech Invite and the Glenbrook North Invite in January. This will help prepare them for the IHSA Regional competition.
Bass Fishing Team Podiums
Tucker Siminak, member of the 2021 IHSA 3rd place Bass Fishing Team, has been accepted into McKendree University, a premiere College Bass Fishing School in the country.
