FLUFFY FIESTA: LCHS

The Pawz 4 Change put together a Fluffy Fiesta just prior to our finals on December 15th to give the students an opportunity to destress by interacting with adoptable cats and bunnies. Over 80 students showed up to spend 5 minutes with the animals and hopefully feel the need or want to adopt one and change each other’s lives. In the end, we had two of the cats as well as two bunnies that were adopted by our students and their families.

Pawz 4 Change continues to work with shelters to assist in providing those animals in need with goods that will make their lives as enjoyable as possible while waiting to be adopted. They will be making toys for shelter animals to help the animals be engaged, provide comfort, and help prevent behavior problems. A toy drive took place in January as the group is consistent with their efforts. They held a Howl-O-Ween Ball with animals coming to the school dressed up in their costumes with adoptable dogs present for adoption. They also have raised money for the shelters with a bake sale as they continue to find ways to make a difference. Later this year They plan to concentrate Their efforts on education of fostering and adoption, make cat shelters for Spay and Stay, and bake dog treats for a shelter’s bake sale. The group is sponsored by Steph Gates with Aarya Patel, Gaby Vasquez, Sammy Skula, Gabi Oparowski, Shivani Raj, Kaelee Winderweedle, Katie Pop, and Beth Kunkle are members of the Pawz 4 Change club.  We are very proud of all of the work that this group does to assist in finding homes for the animals in need. Thank You Pawz 4 Change!
