Athletics – ACHS

Baseball finished with a 21-13-1 record. TJ Schuyler earned NLCC Player of the Year and NLCC All-Conference recognition. Joining him as all-conference players were Anthony Sanchetti, Mason Willis and Nate Yeager.

Girls Softball posted a stellar 34-2 school record breaking season. The Sequoits were the only team in the country to have two players selected as All-Americans, Jacey Schuler and Eden Echevarria (2nd Team). All-State selections were Schuler, Echevarria, Emily Brecht and Jadynn Ruiz. The NLCC chose those ladies along with Syerra Gilmore, Grace Green and Claire Schuyler as All-Conference with Jacey Schuler as unanimous Player of the Year. 

Boys Lacrosse 16-4 set the tone for the NLCC as 2023 Conference Champs. Juniors Nick Day and Ryan Swanson earned Honorable Mention All-State accolades. The NLCC recognized the following players for All-Conference performances: Carter Gras, Jacob Pankau, Ryan Tolbert, Nick Day, Evan Wickert, and Ryan Swanson.

Girls Track and Field 6-3 overall record. An outstanding state-qualifying season by thrower Charlee Kempf. All NLCC honors went to Abigail Fuesting, Kennedi Copeland, Shyanne Hernandez, Sydney Parker, Julia Kraus, Addison Lane, Angela Ortiz, Piper Ipsen, Mora Lubkeman, Charlee Kempf, Rosie Gonzalez, Milena Ivanove, Annalise Lowrence, Mikayla Haskell, Sydney Walker, and Emily Kaluzinski.

Girls Soccer ended the 2023 campaign with a 5-9-3 record. Maddie Barrett, Cameron Pluciennik, Allie Curry, and Kaitlin Baylen. Pluciennik was selected as Conference Goalkeeper of the Year.

Boys Tennis the spring campaign ended with a 3-10 dual record. The Sequoits finished 6th at the NLCC conference tournament. These were the all-conference tennis student athletes for 2023: Cole Deutscher and Nick Olson (Doubles, 2), Jackson Honaker and Kyle Behrens (Doubles, 4).

Boys Volleyball finished the season as IHSA Regional Champions. NLCC All-Conference student-athletes included Nathan Young, Gavin Nelson, Matthew Schultz, and Charles Robison.

Boys Track and Field qualified for IHSA State Meet in the 4×200 and 4×400 relays. The following student-athletes earned All- NLCC recognition: Martin Cohen (4×100, 4×200, 4×400, 100m), Payton Holmes (4×100, 4×200, 4×400, 100m), Deven Floyd-Pickett (4×100, 4×200, 200m), Jeff Leighliter (400m) Tyler Wolfe (800m, 4×400), Carson Lanners (3200m), Marshall Gehrke (110HH, HJ, LJ) Brandon Marks (110HH, 300IH), Joey Neumann (4×100, 4×200, Discus), Ademide Adegboyega (4×400, 4×800), Carter Webb (4×800), Tyler Miller (4×800), Cole Loiacano (4×800), Robert Rohrs (SP, Discus), Antonio Rodriguez (HJ).
