Summer School 2021 for ACHS was a huge success! We welcomed almost 300 students into the building during June for Summer Freshman Academy, Credit Recovery, AP Bridge courses, and Driver’s Education. Specifically for Credit Recovery, 137 students completed more than 250 semester courses! The Freshman Summer Academy once again convened to welcome about 75 incoming freshmen into the building for three weeks in June. We engaged our incoming Freshman students in an assortment of activities in English-Language Arts, Math, and Science, such as building and testing aerodynamics of paper airplanes, using desks as large writing surfaces for math problems, and coordinating plane battleships. The students did amazing, and we are looking forward to having them in the fall!
