FINE ARTS: LCHS

Lakes seniors Jack Klein (above) and Kyle Delaney (right) are truly soaring to the top. Each Lakes artist was selected to participate at the All State Level for their chosen art form. Jack Klien, an actor at Lakes, was selected to be part of the cast of the 2022 Illinois Theatre Festival’s production of Cabaret. Kyle Delaney was selected for the Illinois Music Educators Conference All-State Band and was the Principal Euphonium player this year. Both students were required to submit several recordings of themselves performing their art form for review by a state level panel. The audition process is rigorous and truly results in recognizing those we are at the top of their field. By being selected for All-State, Jack and Kyle put themselves in the top 10% of all high school artists in Illinois. Our theater teacher Dan Esquivel and band directors Elliott HIle and Matthew Kastor are very proud of their accomplishments and hope other students will be inspired by Jack and Kyle’s hard work and success.
