The District 117 Athletic Department develop procedures to begin to engage returning student athletes in summer camp opportunities starting in July. Students and coaches went through a daily health screening along with other precautions, including socially distant activities. District 117 did not charge a fee of involvement. Well over 800 student athletes from both district high schools took part in these opportunities. Freshmen were allowed to participate starting the last week of July.
