Reese Turner, achieved an exceptional milestone this year. Reese, a 7th grader at Antioch Upper Grade School, was named the winner of the 2023 Marquee Sports Network Jr. Broadcaster Contest, providing her with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a day with the Chicago Cubs.

Reese’s dream came true on Saturday, September 9th, when she stepped onto the hallowed grounds of Wrigley Field and went behind the scenes with the Marquee Sports Network broadcast team. The day was a whirlwind of excitement as she immersed herself in the world of sports broadcasting. Reese’s journey included exclusive access to the broadcast booths, insights into the intricate workings of live television, and a chance to explore the field where her heroes play.

The highlight of Reese’s unforgettable experience was her on-air interviews with Marquee Sports Network broadcaster Elise Menaker and Chicago Cubs Manager David Ross. During these interviews, Reese showcased her undeniable talent as she discussed her passion for broadcasting and her unwavering love for the Chicago Cubs.
