“Rockin’ Through the School Year” at Oakland

As we make our way into a new school year, there comes the excitement of new staff members, new friends, new connections, and new adventures. At Oakland, we will be “Rockin’ Through the School Year” for our 2021-2022 year together. A part of our jamming will be “Rocking with Relationships.” Both this past school year and over the summer, Oakland had a number of staff members that participated in trainings on Restorative Practices and building relationships. As we move into this year, it is more important to us than ever to make sure that we are building strong, supportive, and caring relationships with our students and staff. These strategies and circles will help our students begin to have connections with one another and with staff members. We will have many opportunities to build connections this school year — both during and outside of the school day; for our students, families, and staff. We know that the way to move forward is together. Our Eagles will do so through the relationships that we have with one another! We are so excited to see what this year will bring!
