Emmons School held their annual spelling bee this past month. Each grade level conducted a bee and determined a grade level winner. The victors then participated in the school-wide spelling bee. Lizzy Quirke, from 7th grade, emerged as the school spelling champion. Lizzy says that she became a good speller from being an avid reader. Lizzy will advance to the sectionals. This year, Emmons has the honor of hosting the Sectional Spelling Bee on February 21st. Twenty-six schools will be represented. We want to wish Lizzy good luck as she pursues success at the next level.
