The GLS Winter Fine Arts Night was a huge success! The magical evening themed “A Nutcracker Wonderland” was filled with a variety of musical performances from students in grades Pre-K through eighth grade. Throughout the evening audience members enjoyed listening to the choir, band, guitar club, bucket drumming, boomwhackers, and more. Amazing Nutcracker artwork was hung throughout the exhibit and live Project Based Learning (PBL) performances were reenacted by our talented fifth grade students. They chose to “tell the story of The Nutcracker through performance” which included a choreographed dance and sword fight! In addition, our talented fourth graders created their own Nutcracker as part of their PBL art projects. Their creativity and unique designs were on display for all to enjoy! It truly was a magical evening had by all!
