The Illinois Report Card is an annual report released by the Illinois State Board of Education that shows how the state, and each school and district, are progressing on a wide range of educational goals. The Report Card offers a complete picture of student and school performance to inform and empower families and communities as they support their local schools.
Schools receive an annual summative designation on the Illinois Report Card. The designation is based on the school’s overall data for all of the accountability indicators, as well as the data for individual student groups. We are pleased this year that all four Lake Villa 41 schools maintained their summative ranking of Commendable.
Lake Villa 41 prides itself on routinely evaluating curriculum resources. Staff review effective interventions for individual students. District data has shown positive shifts in student achievement from a ‘large gap’ per the kindergarten entry assessment, KIDS Assessment, to a range of ‘small to moderate gap’ per the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. Learning measures were enhanced, and strategic measures took place to respond to learning gaps.
