Palombi Middle School Showcases ‘LEAD-ership’

1175

Palombi Middle School students have also embraced the Leader in Me approach. Each Tuesday, students focus on developing an understanding of the 7 Habits, incorporating the language, skills, and strategies to both school and personal lives. The day after students receive a lesson, the Family Learning Action Team follows up with an email as well as a social media blast. LEAD lesson conversation points are posted online so families can discuss habits at home. Students are being empowered to be leaders by asking them their opinions, solutions, and ideas. Each room has classroom jobs to practice these skills, as well as an opportunity to lead in an area where they have a passion. Students are leading groups about endangered animals, future careers, environmental causes, helping the homeless, beautifying the school, bully awareness, making a difference, providing tech support, and much more.
