Here to Support Our Community

787

These are challenging times, but the resilience of our community is shining through. Slowly, we will begin to bring a new normal forward with the safety and welfare of our citizens at the forefront of all we do.

Antioch Township is here to support our community in meaningful and important ways. We have connected with other leaders, non-profits and organizations in the surrounding areas to create a Better Together Task Force. You will find a resource insert in this issue of Connections on page 25. Please keep this on hand throughout the outbreak of COVID-19 and beyond for easy reference and helpful information.

Our community has connected in so many meaningful ways to help each other throughout the past few months, and we will continue to support those in need and our most vulnerable. Our team is especially grateful to all those who are on the frontlines and in particular to The Antioch Mask Brigade, which was started by Antioch native, Anna Fielder. Her team of sewers have produced an astounding 37,000 masks and the number is still climbing. It is people like Anna and her sewers that show just how much of an impact one person can make in the lives of others.

Antioch Township is open for appointments, and we have all the necessary safety precautions in place to visit the office, please call 847-395-3378. We continue to offer general assistance, help with applications for LIHEAP, financial/housing assistance, application assistance for SNAP, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act Insurance, and other programs and family services.

For now, our events and programs have been postponed until further notice. As we begin to reschedule and plan new events, we will be sharing sign-up sheets and information.

We look forward to serving you. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy.
