This school year, the Mary Kay McNeill Early Learning Center is excited to embody the District’s theme: “Going Places.” The students and staff will be traveling the globe to learn about the people and cultures of other countries. Through literacy, music and art, the goal is to build our cultural competence and learn about the uniqueness in each of us.
We also invite our students’ parents and families to join us in our journey as learners. Parents and families will be provided opportunities to build their skills and knowledge in areas such as teaching early independence skills, raising bright thinkers through questions and conversations, facilitating their child’s learning at home, as well as self-care for parents and how to balance their many roles.
If we were meant to stay in one place, we would have roots instead of feet. This school year we will be asking ourselves, “Where to next?” because we are curious adventurers with a world to see.
