It is time to celebrate our Petty Bobcats! Celebrations come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. We have been moving forward promoting positive behaviors with our PBIS framework. With our boosters to reinforce expected behaviors in specific areas, we have seen some major improvements! Our Bobcats have been doing a great job so we want to celebrate their hard work!
Our music program has begun morning lessons again and we could not be more excited! Students are arriving early to practice together. Hearing how their individual instruments sound when part of a large group, brings everything together. We are thankful for such a large gym, allowing our students to spread out to keep everyone safe. We want to celebrate these students’ dedication to our music programs, and we couldn’t run any of these awesome programs without our awesome directors!
In order to create a family atmosphere at W.C. Petty, we have divided our school into 3 families. Each family has students from every grade level and staff members from different departments. We are all finding another way to make connections outside of our typical peers. Each month, we get each family together for a brief assembly to present awards for participation and positive actions. This last month, we held family Community Circles on what they are grateful for. Students met with kids from other classrooms and shared what they were grateful for in order to highlight our goal for the month of November. We want to celebrate this purposeful movement towards our family environment at WC Petty!
