Rebecca Adams is joining the Antioch District 34 Team as the Principal at Oakland Elementary School. This is Mrs. Adams’ 18th year in education. Prior to becoming an administrator, she was a classroom teacher for 13 years. Rebecca became an educator 18 years ago because teaching and helping to lift others to reach their goals and beyond has always been a passion of hers. Her “why” begins and ends with people. She states that it is so important to her to continually build relationships with everyone that she comes in contact with, and that anyone that walks through the doors at Oakland becomes a member of the Oakland family; and we always take care of our family. Mrs. Adams is so excited to become a member of the Antioch 34 and Oakland community.
Lindsay Burns
Assistant Principal
Oakland Elementary School
Lindsay Burns is joining the Antioch District 34 team as the Assistant Principal at Oakland Elementary School. This is her 9th year in education, having taught 4th grade for eight years.
Vasiliki Frake
Director of Student Services
Frake began her career as a special education teacher in Lake Forest District 67. She taught in their elementary school and middle school before taking her first building level administrative position in Glenview District 34. During her career she has served school district special education departments as Coordinator, Assistant Director, and Director. Mrs. Frake is married and has three children. In her free time she enjoys attending middle school and high school events for her children.
Jeff Knapp
Director of Human Resources
Jeff Knapp is excited to be joining the team in Antioch CCSD 34! He has been in education for 23 years and looks forward to the new connections and building relationships with the community here. Previously he was the principal at Rockland School in Libertyville for the past 9 years. Before that he was a principal, assistant principal and teacher at CCSD #46 in Grayslake. He is married with one son who is a senior in high school. In his free time pre-pandemic he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He is very excited to be here and wishes everyone a great year ahead!
Jared Reardon
Assistant Principal
W.C. Petty Elementary School
Jared is an Illinois State University Graduate and taught 6-8 grade math in both San Antonio and Vernon Hills. He was recently married last September and he and his wife are expecting their first child this November. The last 3 years had been spent as Assistant Principal and Principal in a small district in Lockport and he is excited to be back up north closer to family working with the wonderful District 34 parent, students, and staff. His favorite thing about working in education is finding new ways to collaboratively strive towards the common goal of watching children learn and grow!
Allison Waller
Assistant Principal
Hillcrest Elementary School
Prior to joining our Hurricane family (in what will be her 12th year in education), Allison has had a multitude of experiences in the classroom, as a dean, and as an assistant principal. Most recently she was the Assistant Principal for Freedom Middle School in Berwyn. Allison is excited to serve our families and students as an administrator and new Antioch resident. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She looks forward to making each and every day at Hillcrest a breeze!
