Spring has sprung and we are surrounded by all kinds of growth! This is especially true at Oakland Elementary as we are celebrating all of the growth we have experienced this year, as well as looking forward to our continued growth in the upcoming year. This year, Oakland students have had many opportunities to further grow themselves even outside of the school day! Many of our students have participated in after school enriched learning programs focusing on reading, math, and social emotional learning opportunities. The extracurriculars have also included in-person musical performances from our kindergarten, first, choral, orchestra, and band musicians! These talented individuals have shared the gift of music across a wide variety of venues. Oakland students will also have the opportunity to participate in summer programming to continue their academic growth with summer school kicking off at Oakland Elementary in June! Our student council has also been working outside of the school day to put together a lot of community service projects for our families to participate in this year. We are excited for all the things yet to come at Oakland and in Antioch District 34.
