Eighth Grade Students Visit Civil War Museum

Finishing their unit on the Civil War, Ms. Boliaux’s eighth grade American History class went on a field trip to the Kenosha Civil War Museum. The students were able to break into smaller groups and take guided tours, exploring different areas of the museum. Students were engaged in interactive activities that involved developing an understanding of soldier uniforms, recruitment, ancient weaponry, and the medical procedures used throughout that time period. Students had an immersive experience by being surrounded with a 360° movie theater, capturing the mindset of the soldiers that served. It was an eventful trip, as students were able to apply what they’ve learned to a new experience outside of the classroom!
